  • NEW! Statewide Online Application (SOLA)
    You can now fill out an application for child support services online and submit it electronically. It is easy, safe, and no cost to you. No more printing, hand-writing the information, assembling and mailing the documents.

  • DCSS Strategic Plan 2010-2014
    Since the year 2000, states have been evaluated on five performance measures. The five federal performance measures are related to the process of establishing and enforcing a child support case and are an important part of determining program effectiveness. As such, the fereral performance measures are outlined and are incorporated into the goals of California's Strategic Plan.

  • Child Support Awareness Month
    During this year’s Child Support Awareness Month, local county child support offices will host outreach and education events to raise awareness of California’s child support program.

  • Compromise of Arrears Program (COAP)
    In certain child support cases, the law allows for a parent to pay less than his or her total child support debt owed to the government because their child received public assistance during a time that the parent did not pay the court ordered child support. This is called a compromise of arrears.

  • Information for Parents MAKING Support Payments
    If you have an open case with a local child support agency and do not pay through wage withholding, you have several payment options.

  • Information for Parties RECEIVING Support Payments
    DCSS now offers new payment options. You can enroll to receive payments by direct deposit into a checking or savings account OR enroll to receive payments by Electronic Pay card, similar to ATM or debit card.
