News — January 2012

As of January 1, 2012, PRMD GIS will no longer provide the general public the service of providing mailing labels containing property owners and address information. For those specifically looking to purchase mailing labels, please review the County's Assessor listing of Information for Sale to the Public.


News — December 2011

PRMD GIS released ActiveMap Version 2.2 highlighting added functionality & new layers while updating existing layers to Sonoma County parcel base dated September 30, 2011 (1st fiscal year quarter). In an effort to keep GIS data current, PRMD GIS will be releasing ActiveMap layer updates on a regular basis. Please refer to ActiveMap's homepage for a list of Version 2.2 highlights.


With respect to the GIS Data Download files [e.g. shapefile, kml], those files have been updated and are scheduled to be released (overriding the existing files) in early January 2011.

PRMD GIS released ActiveMap Version 2.1 highlighting added functionality & new layers while updating existing layers to Sonoma County parcel base dated October 22, 2010 (2nd fiscal year quarter). In an effort to keep GIS data current, PRMD GIS will be releasing ActiveMap layer updates on a regular basis. Please refer to ActiveMap's homepage for a list of Version 2.1 highlights.


As well, GIS data download files [e.g. shapefile, kml] have been updated to the same parcel base.

News — July 2010

PRMD GIS updated ActiveMap layers to Sonoma County parcel base dated April 2010 (3rd fiscal year quarter). In an effort to keep GIS data current, PRMD GIS will be releasing ActiveMap layer updates "silently" meaning no noticing will be provided. However, within the application, under Layer Description, each layer listed has corresponding last update information. As well, GIS data download files [e.g. shapefile, kml] have been updated to the same parcel base.

News — June 2010

PRMD GIS does not provide walk-in customer office hours. All mapping product requests and/or inquiries will be serviced through GIS Online Services.

News — May 2010

PRMD GIS provides the ability to view and/or download free pre-compiled GIS hard copy maps. The GIS maps provide location-based information pertaining to a specific subject matter and area as well as countywide indexes.

PRMD GIS conducted an ActiveMap Training for the general public on Tuesday, February 9th.

PRMD GIS launches GIS Online "Welcome to PRMD Geographical Information Systems." In support of PRMD’s GIS mission, the site has been designed to provide a wide array of geographical information resources. The resources are designed to provide the appropriate tools to retrieve and analyze geographical data for answering practical, policy, and political questions lending to "Better Decision-making through GeoSpatial Information."

News — November 2009

On November 16, 2009, PRMD GIS staff released an updated ActiveMap application which includes changes in functionality and updated map layers.
